[Automated Voice Recording - Professor Gerald Robotnik = ACTIVATION] {PLAY BACK} "I, Professor Gerald Robotnik, have many regrets... One of those regrets, was not saving my precious grand daughter sooner. I have done many regrettable acts, but this is one I may yet be able to remedy. This is my Grand Daughter, Maria.... Oh sweet, sweet Maria... Our ARK was stormed by the forces of GUN, and Maria took a bullet. She was already horribly sick, and now shot... I shall use what time I have yet, to save this sweet child. If anyone finds this recording, please note, I am sorry... It was the only thing I could do.

I sealed my own grand child up, in the very same type of capsule the Shadow Project took form in. I had to use the research I took from the artificial Chaos and the Shadow Project to patch up Maria. Sadly, I must leave her sealed up in this capsule for an unknown amount of time... It could be years, decades, centuries perhaps... The only way I can keep her safe, is by Ejecting Maria through the prototype space gate, capsule and all, and only pray for the best. This act will hopefully keep her from aging too much, heal her wounds and keep her alive, and... Maybe.. even cure her of her disease. I am Gerald Robotnik, and this is my retribution. Maria, my sweet little grand daughter, stay well, and may you live long." {END PLAY BACK}

(( THIS is an independent RP blog, and slightly a bit of an AU, obviously. To keep Maria alive, in this setting she was near death but never actually died. She wakes up in present day, 50-60 years later after ARK, and she has aged a little from 12 up to 18. Her pod has landed in a field of Sunflowers with an old cottage, near mushroom hill. Have fun :V ))

(( This blog started with her being 18, so, due to it's age. Update on how old she is: 19. ))

Being happy doesn’t mean that everything is perfect. It means that you’ve decided to look beyond the imperfections.

"Oh dear… Ooohh dear… This is not good at all."

"Seem’s a flash flood eroded out the lower bridge of my path to town… This could prove to be problematic."

N couldn’t help but frown a little at the idea of a pokemon speaking Enlgish, but at the instructions for the bird feeder, he happily obliged. It was a bit of a disappointment when thebirds didn’t immediately flock to the new source of food, but N dismissed it and went looking for the next one.

When N managed to get the bird seed to flow, she gave him a sweet smile of thanks. Very carefully hooking it back onto it’s steel arch, and letting it swing over the edge of the railing. Hanging in the air. The next feeder was on the center of the railing just a few meters away, while the last one was all the way down at the end on the very corner. Three feeders.

"I really thank you for your help, N. I certainly owe you for this."

Welcome!

The two looked at the cottage. The blue one was already taking a liking to it. "Hmm, nice place," he commented.

They both looked back at Maria. "Nice to meet you, miss," he nodded. "I’m Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog."

"And I’m Christina, Christina the Hedgehog," the black hedgehog spoke, nodding as well.

"It’s a pleasure, Sonic and Christina! Although to be fair, I already know an alternate of Sonic. Still, point stands! Everyone is different."

"Would you two like to stay for lunch?"

N blinked at the mention of the absol, but wordlessly followed her up to the front porch. “Easy for you to say ‘there’s not much of a difference’. They don’t speak to you… not that I’m complaining.”

Maria let out a light giggle at N’s comment. “Sorry. I have my own that I talk to, but they speak English.” With that, she wandered over to one of the bird feeders on a corner of her porch. Grunting as she pulled it free and back. “Ow.. Here, twist the knob on the top, and it will let more seed out into the trays on the bottom.”

nharmonia-gropius:

"I can do that…! I’ve been told I’m good with animals, though I’ve been finding they’re much different than pokemon…"

"Pokemon…? I haven’t heard that word in a long time… I had an Absol come around time to time. Haven’t seen any more since. But, I am sure you can do just fine. There isn’t too much of a difference." Maria gave a bright smile, and motioned for N to follow her up to the front deck.

"My goodness, so many of you! Hello, hello, and welcome! I certainly hope none of you are lost way out here."

The two hedgehogs greeted with a “hello,” a “hi,” and smiles on their faces.

"We’re not lost," the blue hedgehog answered. "But, we wouldn’t mind knowin’ where we are."

A light laugh came from the blonde, and she held her hand to the side. Motioning towards the cottage near by, surrounded by sun flowers. “Why, you’ve found my humble home! The nearest township is a few miles east of here. I’m Maria Robotnik. It’s a pleasure.”

nharmonia-gropius:

mariarobotnik:

"That pale…?"

"… Maybe not this pale…"

"You should probably rest then…"

"No, no, I’ll be okay, I promise. I have some things I need to tend too, refill the bird feeders and water the flowers… Would you care to help me?"
